Each vintage is a new story, written and inspired by our collective observations over time. Our soils nourish our vines. We seed between rows with plants that will reinvigorate the soil’s microbiology, rectifying any imbalance. Thanks to well-tended soils and to an adaptive approach to growth, our vines are better able to tolerate dry periods.
OUR WINES: THE QUINTESSENCE OF OUR TERROIR
Château d’Anvichar 2020
An impressive red wine: notes of slightly stewed fruit, but with a licorice freshness. Nuances of spices like nutmeg and vanilla.
Varietal: 100% merlot
Cuvée Richard 2021
A deep garnet colored red wine, with floral aromas of peony, and notes of cherry and raspberry.
Varietal: 100% merlot
DISCOVER THE HISTORY OF THE CHATEAU
Château d’Anvichar is more than a winery. It’s a vision, one of Carol Zaist. The former Southern California business litigation attorney came to France to follow her passion for wine and French terroir.
In 2021, she took over this historic property just outside the gates of Saint-Emilion, to infuse it with her love for eco-responsible winemaking and respect for the environment.
